What a couple of weeks we have had at Beverley Edmondson Millinery!
Most excitingly Thanks to your Votes, we have become award wining milliners! Winning London and South-East Accessory Designer of the year at the Wedding Industry Awards!
Ali, Jayne and I attended the glittering awards evening at the stunning Barn at Bury Court late in November, attended by the best suppliers in the wedding industry, cocktails and canapés were flowing, so we were thrilled when our name was read out as the winners in our category.
The judging process was a mixture of a questionnaire we had to fill in about what we do, Customer votes, asking about pricing, service, timescales and communication and the judges taking a look around our images websites, videos and social media presence. So we are thrilled that our customers have thought so highly of the services that we provide and also that all the behind the scenes work on the website and social media is also paying off. So we owe a huge thank you to all of those who kindly voted for us!
We are now entered into the National finals which will take place in January against the other regional finalists, after that we will then be able to see the customer voting feedback. We can’t wait for another chance to network with the very best wedding suppliers and see if we win the nationals! Wish us luck but in the meantime here are some images from the evening!

Not only did we do so well in the Wedding industry awards this month but we also 100% in obtaining Customer service from Shoppers Anonymous, a company who on behalf of Farnham Town council visited and marked 59 businesses in Farnham town centre on the in store experience and customer services. Ali was the one who by chance got ‘mystery shopped’  and she scored a whopping 100% in her approach to selling and guiding the customer journey, the report was thorough and she received a glowing report on her product knowledge and services that we offer!
We were then scored on the store itself. Here we received 96%……..now the points we fell down on were….not wearing name badges, which we don’t even have, as a small boutique it is easy for us to create customer relationships in a small and personal environments, perhaps this criteria is better suited to when they are mystery shopping chain store?
Secondly we lost a point on the desk being cluttered! Now as many of you know it’s a very small shop…..we also have no back office or, so we do need to work at the customer service desk. Whether it be filing paperwork or making fascinators, we know the desk can be cluttered at times…but we can only do what we can do in the space! But 96% overall! we can’t really complain and hopefully they don’t impact too much the service experience that we try and offer in store and we still received a gold certificate for the in store experience!
So all in all I would say we’ve had a successful month. Having what we do and the service we aim to provide being endorsed at this level is incredibly exciting for us as we grow!
We love doing what we do and want to continue giving and improving our customer experiences with us in store!
