In a bid to break out of the pastel rustic vintage wedding, a group of London wedding suppliers banded together to create this colourful art school inspired styled wedding shoot! The brighter the better and the more clashing tones just make it even better. The location was at the incredible anthologist, an amazing quirky and buzzing bar and private events venue right in the middle of the City of London on a glorious hot Saturday in May the streets were deserted except for us wedding lot and out brightly coloured antics!
This shoot was brought together by Lisa a wedding planner from Carmela weddings and Erin from way out wedding blog, two people I thoroughly admire and have worked with on previous shoots, and whom I hope we can work together again. But also on this shoot was the fabulous Marsha from Marsha Hall handmade shoes (for all of you who struggle with getting shoes to fit, or in the perfect style!), who I am delighted is now undertaking creative business mentoring with me to help her and her business’ grow.
And how can I not mention the simply incredible Susie from Tissue Blossoms. Seriously not only are her crepe paper flowers the most divine and incredible hand crafted flowers you have ever seen, (I want them all and I am in total awe of her creations but to go alongside her beautiful blooms Susie is one on the most lovely souls as well! Susie and I have since collaborated with myself using some of her flowers on some hats for Royal Ascot and I can’t wait to work with her again…you need to check out her stunning Instagram feed!
We made several headpieces from this shoot, it allowed us to use bright colours in a bridal environment and step away from the cookie cutter wedding designs. From feathered crowns to billowing bows and metallic leathers, we took the opportunity to break the mould!
We were lucky enough to have the shoot featured on NUbride blog which also tells you more about the inspiration of the shoot, location and features within the shoot to get your creative juices going!
